The Delhi Government is likely to ask travellers from Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh to show negative Covid -19 test reports before entering the national Capital, Government officials said on Wednesday, adding, it will be effective till March 15. Their test reports should not be older than 72 hours prior to the commencement of journey, Delhi government said.

People travelling in flights, trains and buses from these states will have to produce negative test reports before entering Delhi, they said. The requirement of the negative COVID-19 test report is likely to be implemented from Friday night, officials said.

In a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), the experts discussed rising coronavirus cases in five states and asked for a policy to check travellers from those states.
